My Sacred Heart Diet Results

The Sacred Heart Diet is a 7-day eating plan that will clean out your system and rid you of at least 5-7 pounds after the 3rd day and 10-17 pounds after the 7 days. Details of this diet can be found at http://www.idiet4u.com/diets/sacredheart.html

On day 1 was pretty easy. I love soup and this soup is delicious so I enjoyed eating it all day. I ate a peach and some strawberries as well. My starting weight was 139. I burned 386 calories on the treadmill.

On day 2 wasn't bad. I ate the soup and added some broccoli as the additional veggy. For dinner I went to Wendy's and bought a plain baked potato with butter on the side. I burned 734 calories on the treadmill in an hour by walking at a speed of 3.7 on a 15 incline.

On day 3 was a little harder. I was not hungry but I craved everything other than the soup. Lasagna was hard to get off my mind. The meat, cheese, sauce...Mmm! Before going to bed I decided to take two Swiss Kriss tablets (laxative) to help with the cleansing process. I burned 234 in a half hour on the elliptical. I was too tired to do more but every bit counts and if you're going to cut time, go hard.

On day 4 I was a bit upset to see my weight the same as it was when I started the diet. This diet promises a weight loss of 5-7 pounds by the end of the third day if you have not cheated, which I did not. I decided to eat way more soup than I did the previous days and fill up until I was stuffed with it along with three bananas and 6 cups of milk. I'm not sure if it was the massive amount of soup I ate or the Swiss Kriss tablets but I went to the bathroom about 4 times. I hope this is my body getting rid of those pounds that the diet promises. I did not go to the gym today.

On day 5 was upsetting as well as I was still 139. I was excited about eating meat. I had my steaks with canned stewed tomatoes. I ate one serving of the soup. I made a new batch the day before and it's almost gone. I only have two servings left and I'm saving it for Day 6 and 7.

On day 6 I was happy to see that I went down to 137.5. I had two pieces of steak with broccoli for breakfast. Oh man that steak was juicy! I don't know if it's because it was marinating in the seasoning overnight or what but it was deeelish! I did not eat lunch. I wasn't really hungry plus I was out shopping for a couple of hours. That kept me busy and distracted from thinking about food. At around 6 pm I had the last steak. I did not have any soup for the day as I was supposed to. I just didn't want it. I did not work out today. I went to Modells to get a medicine ball. I plan to use that while on my stability ball to lose my belly fat and love handles.

On day 7 I could not believe my eyes. I weighed 136! I know it's only a 3 pound loss but I have not been in the mid 130s since 2010. My goal weight is 130 and I just might get there by the end of this month. I'm also proud of myself for actually completing a diet. I did not cheat in any way and the crazy thing is that I was actually able to easily fight cravings or giving in while fast food or any food other than the meals on my plan were right in my face. My view was:
1. There will be more when I'm off the diet
2. Why give in now when I'm only going to regret it as soon as I finish eating it
3. Let me finish a challenge for once in my life
4. Summer, summer, summer. I want to have a comfortable summer. Bikini here I come!

On day 8 I weighed in at 135 pounds. That's a 4 pound loss since starting the diet and a 16 1/2 pound loss since the beginning of December. I lost 11 1/2 pounds in December from eating clean. When January rolled around, everyone else was starting their new years resolution of fitness while I lived in the fast food restaurants. I ended up gaining two stubborn pounds. Now those pounds are history due to this diet and exercise.

Although I did not achieve the promised results, I feel lighter, more energetic and clean inside. This was a great jump start for my goal. I do recommend the Sacred Heart Diet. This is a great diet where you lose weight and toxins without starving or eating smaller portions.

  2. I'm on day 6 and have only seen .7 weight loss. I'm not sure what is going on. I am having a ton of water and eating ONLY what is allowed as well as burning at least 300 cals everyday. My starting weight was 135.8 and I am not at 135.1. I was thinking of doing the diet over again but not sure if it would be worth it. What do you think?

  4. I'm trying this diet too and just like you candy I started @139lb I'm on day 3 but I ran out of soup so must make some tomorrow the problem I have a very busy schedule for tomorrow. As for the soup I actually like it and I think I'll make it and eat it again even when I'm off the diet. Decided not to check my wheight until the end would be really pleased with 5 lb I never believed the possibilty of losing 10 but that would be nice!! overal I feel really good despite that fact that I miss eating carbs.

  5. Okay I went on the Sacred heart diet. Here is my review:

I thought the soup was good. I was never hungry for the whole week. After all it does say to eat as much soup as you want. My problem with it was days five and six. When I first read that beef was part of the diet I was skeptical. But over all I found this diet easy to do and here are my results:
I weighed in each day before breakfast. On day one I was 231.5 pounds. Day two 226.5 pounds. Day three 225.5 pounds. Day four 223.5 pounds. Day five 222.5 pounds. Day six 223 pounds. Day seven 222.5 pounds. And then the next day I weighed in again at 222 pounds. So the first four days are very effective, but the beef days seemed to kill the momentum.

So my advice is: by all means do the first four days. It’s a great way to drop a few pounds fast and not be hungry or unhealthy while doing it. I think skipping the beef days is a good idea, or perhaps repeating the first four days is better.

This is a good way to kick start a diet plan also. If you plan on just going back to bad eating habits of fast food and junk food you will not keep the weight off. But if you do this diet and then eat healthy and exercise I think you would have a winning combination.

  7. I believe this diet is for obese people who need to shed weight quickly. Those who only have a few vanity pounds probably won't see the same results as someone who is seriously overweight.

  8. I am on my third day of the diet. So far I lost 3 pounds the first day and 1 pound the second day. What is amazing to me is that I am not getting the usual detox symptoms (headache, tiredness, loss of energy) that I have gotten with other detox diets. I feel full of energy, not particularly hungry and am enjoying the soup (I blended mine). I noticed that a few of the people that mentioned they had not lost weight were doing a lot of exercise while on the diet. I have not done any exercise. Maybe having so few calories and exercising on top of it is making your body go into starvation mode....just a thought

  10. Shopping done. Had some issues finding alternatives for certain things that can't b found in the UK but Google helped with that. Weoght to be recorded and soup to be made in the morning. Surely I can finally lose weight by doing this?! Can I keep it up though? I bloody well hope so!!

  12. I'm on day three and I have not lost pound. I have conducted the diet to nail, except the baked potato. My system is flushing out but nothing like what I've read above. Can someone tell me why I'm not losing? Did not eating the potato have a negative effect?

  13. I've been losing loads. I am on day 5 n I'm 10lbs down. I'm now really looking forward to eating some beef!! I have however been exercising. I do the Jillian Michaels 30shred every day which is a combination of cardio and strength training. That could be keeping my metabolism up and it also builds muscle. Have you been exercising at all?

    Start: 197.6lb.
    Day 5: 187.2lb.

  15. I am currently on day 6, and have lost 8 lbs!
I'm so happy with the results! Hope to make it to the 10 lb mark by tomorrow. Although I would have loved to hit the 17lb mark, 8 is pretty astonishing to me. I would recommend this diet to anyone who is looking to learn how to control their appetite and loose weight. It was pretty difficult for me in the begining. I'm used to eating a lot of carbs, and not enough protein and fruit and vegetables. I find that after this diet I'm able to enjoy fruit and especially vegetables , my appetite is supresed and my metabloism has really picked up.
Give it a try, you may be surprised!

  17. I'm on day two. My son, who is 270 lbs only lost .4 lbs, as did I, although we followed the diet to a "T". Very disapppointing, but we will continue. I'm wondering if the people who are in the 130 lb range simply have nothing to lose !!! haha My 12 year old weighs that!

  18. Day 1: 182.5 weighed in morning
    Day 2: Didn't weigh
    Day 3: 177.5
Day 4: Weighed in morning 175.5
Day 5: Weighed in morning 173

This is my second time doing this diet and my results are even better this time although I do weigh more than the last time I did it. Got married, fat and happy.
I'm still going strong and have been feeling lots of energy and an uplifted mood.

Advice: On fruit days make sure you eat lots of melons. They are mostly water and fill you up with very few calories. Broiled grapefruit is another delicious treat I discovered.Prepping fruits and veggies the day before you start the diet is also helpful so that you have something quick to grab. On day 4 I made 2 ingredient banana ice cream for breakfast and dinner. 2 frozen bananas and starting with 10 oz of milk (add more for desired consistency) blended together. It feels like your cheating. So good. Also tonight (day 5), I am having chicken with tomato bruschetta. Keep it fun and get creative. The diet can still be delicious.

  20. You probably don't have a ton of extra weight on your body at 139 lbs. This diet is designed for people who have excessive weight on their frames and need to shed pounds quickly before life-saving heart surgery - this isn't a diet designed for 'those last stubborn five pounds'. I'm not saying don't do the diet - just don't expect to lose 20 pounds on it. At 139 pounds, your body isn't capable of shedding 20 pounds in a week, no matter what type of fat-free soup you are eating! Good job sticking to it for seven days - I've only ever gotten to day 3 and then was so damn sick of the soup that I quit! I've started it yet again this week, so hopefully I finish! I'll be happy with losing around 5 pounds, enough to kick-start my metabolism and inspire me to keep eating clean!

  21. I am on Day One and have a really bad headache!! My question is: can you eat any cheese (like a cheese stick with 50 calories)? On the day with green leafy, I would eat a salad. What salad dressing can you eat or are you supposed to not eat dressings? Thank you!

  22. By day 2 I had lost 8lbs. and day 3 (which is today ) Ihad loss 10lbs. altogether. I love my results so far. I was almost tempted today to give up and eat a juicy burger but I have proven to myself that weight loss is possible so I'm gonna stick to it..

  23. Can anyone, without being vulgar or disgusting, shed some light on if you ever have to "run" to the bathroom. Due to my job, I am not able to do that, and want to make sure I can stick to this diet for the entire week.

  24. Does this genuinely work? its just too hard to believe. starting the diet tomorrow and I'm pretty skeptical about it

  25. It's my third day. Yesterday I had a terribly upset stomach so I had to run to the toilet again and again so I consumed some fiber husk and the problem settled down. Yesterday, I was 80 kg (175 lbs). I am not sure if this diet will help me drastically lose weight but I wanted to align my eating habits so this was just a kick start. After day 7, I will be adopting a healthy eating lifestyle instead of a fad diet.

  26. This is day 2 and I am only eating the soup to get the toxins out of my body. I have Celiac disease and need to rid my body of the gluten...In saying that I will say that I did not include the Lipton soup mix and only used fresh veggies apposed to canned. Also used salt free stewed tomatoes.
The weight loss would be nice but that is not the ultimate goal.
